The book you are referring to is: "Life at Caddo Jake Crossing", an autobiography by Jewel B. Nutt Gray.It was compiled and printed by her daughter Neva. B. Gray Cox, copyright 1996.I don't know where you can get a copy but will ask around.
The book doesn't contain a lot of Nutt genealogy but does relate Jewel's life growing up in Oklahoma and Texas. She describes her grandfather, John Wiley Nutt, as tall with a dark complexion.Grandmother Mollie Hightower Nutt was short and red headed.Jewel's book talks about visits with them.
Jewel was my father's cousin, and I never met her but it appears she was quite talented. She wrote poetry and short stories and published a couple of books. In addition, she wrote songs and was an artist (watercolors).
I am a great granddaughter of John Wiley Nutt and Mollie Hightower Nutt. There is a Nutt family reunion every year the 3rd Sunday in August in Union City, Oklahoma.
I'll send more information about the Nutt family to your e-mail address.
