I am from the "Manchester Officers" of England.My ancestors moved to settle in Manchester from Belfast [Antrim in Ireland] around 1790.As you are no doubt aware the Officers in Ireland lived in a village called Carnmoney in Antrim & appear to have descended from a David Officer born around 1690.His father I believe, was Alexander Officer [bC1650] who may have been the first Officer to leave Kincardineshire in Scotland to settle in Ireland.I have a copy of the original "Officer Crest & motto" if you would be interested in a transcription.It is uncanny that I have made contact with my distant cousin in USA [an Officer] & her name is Jeanne Fredericks!
