I am quite interested in this as my ggf george Doughty was a brushmaker who lived near Greenwich church in the 1850s-70s. I believe Olleys had a workshop at Deptford Bridge. I have been trying to find out more about them as this is likely to be where he worked. I think there was another brush maker there named Jacobs. There might also be a Harris link as George's daughter Emma married her cousin, John Henry Harris in 1888. The Harris family and George Doughty later worked for the railway at Greenwich.
