George Olliffe was born about 1859 in Southwark, Surrey, England. His parents were George & Thomasina Olliffe from Bandon, county Cork in Ireland. George Olliffe married Evangeline Lily Rabey May 5, 1895 at St. Mary, Lambeth, (London) England. They immigrated to Canada about 1905 to the town of Uxbridge, Ontario with their family where they lived until 1910, then to Oshawa, Ontario.

George died in Oshawa, March 14, 1922 from head injuries due to a fall on ice. He worked for McLaughlin Motor Car Company in Oshawa. He is buried in Union Cemetery, Oshawa (no stone). His wife Lily remarried to Arthur Seward and then returned to England.
All Olliffes from the Oshawa area are descendants of George Olliffe.
