JOHN A. (Johnnie) ONORATO, Age 64, of Houston and Lufkin Texas, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2003. He was born on January 29, 1939 in Houston, Texas. Preceded in death by his parents John and Katherine and his younger brother Sammy. He is survived by children Michele and husband Glenn Jones, Angie Onorato, and John Michael Onorato and wife Kelli, his sister JoAnn Harrison, niece Gina Harrison, brother Anthony Onorato and wife Rhonda, nephew Michael Onorato and grandchildren Drew Onorato, Jacob Jones, Glenn Jones Jr., and Jana Jones. He also leaves many loving family members in the Brusha, Colonnetta, and Romano families as well as many friends including June Onorato. Johnnie proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp at Camp Pendelton, California and Okinawa, Japan. He worked as a Master Electrician for more than 40 years in the Houston and East and Southwest Texas area as well as California, Wyoming, Utah and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Visitation will be held Monday August 4th, 8am-10am at Starr Funeral Home, 511 Starr St., Hemphill, Texas and will be immediately followed by graveside services at Plainview Cemetery in the Plainview community.
