Paul, Thank you for your reply. I don't see these Ooleys in my family tree. However, I have always been told that any Ooley I come across, we will be related as Ooley is not a true surname. In some of my research, I have found that the original name could have Uhler, which is German.
One of my grandfather's sisters did extensive work on the family tree (prior to computers) and researched back to a John Ooley, B WFTEst. 1701-1752, D WFT Est.1739-1831. I am trying to research online back to that and before.
Most of my Ooleys came from Owen County, IN and settled in Spearman, Hansford County, Texas. I still have some Ooley cousins that live in Kansas.
My great great grandfather was Benjamin Franklin Ooley, B 1869, D 1957. He was a descendant of John Christopher Ooley, B. 1830, D 1830.
I will keep your information though as there has to be a connection somewhere. Somewhere in all of this we are probably some sort of cousins.
