O'Quinn Cousins by the Dozens now online
I am very new and somewhat ignorant about genealogy, and I no doubt have much to learn abut the art, but I am excited to be reading and posting to the O'Quinn family forum. Let's face it, this is a very interesting family.
I did an archive search of census records 20 years ago, but I haven't been actively working on this until recently.
I am excited to be using this as a resource.
I have checked the forum but not seen any mention of the fact that John Kenneth O' Quinn's informative book, O'Quinn Cousins by the Dozens has been posted online at an LDS web site "Family History Archive." I do hope they got the family's permission! In any event this will no doubt be a valuable resource to many of you who have been asking about the book. The web address is:

I am new to the book, but I am hoping it will help me fill in many of the gaps I have run into pushing my particular family line back from the early 19th Century. I would be delighted to hear from other Hampton/Colleton County O'Quinn descendants. My grandfather's siblings have all passed on, and I doubt that the huge old family home in Estill, SC, which I saw when I was 15, is still standing. But I imagine there are many kin in the area and they all have stories. Let me hear from you.
Yours truly,
Chris Vincent b. 1959, Orange Park, Fl
Son of Virginia Mae O’Quinn (Vincent/Brazie) b. 1927 Jax, FL
Daughter of Walter Curry O'Quinn b. 1906 Broxton, Colleton Co., SC
Son of Eugene O'Quinn b. 1877, SC
Son of Berry (Barry?) O'quin b. 1855, SC
Son of Tarler O'quin c.1814 Walterboro, Colleton Co.
