I'm researching Thomas Osborn, born Chesterfield VA before 1704, died April 10, 1737.There is a reference in Virginia Biography, that he is the Thomas Osborn, father of Anne (Margaret and another sister) who married John Randolph of Prince William County, and whose will was 1789 (he died 1790).
He was born in Chesterfied and later removed to Prince William County.
Virginia Gazette of April 29, 1737, has him dying on April 10.
There are other records, involving his life as justice of the peace, tobacco inspector, and time in the house of burgesses from which he was removed for improprieties.
Can anyone offer his PARENTS?
There is a Captain Thomas Osborn from the 1616 Bono Vista---- also in Chesterfield at Coxendale, and Procter's creek;same name, same county and same career aspirations (first thomas also in house of burgesses)
However--- lists from Captain Thomas 1616 do not include my Thomas. And many people seem to show a number of other thomases descending from that thomas.
He was connected to John Diskin (also a tobacco inspector), and John Kincheloe who became guardian of Ann until she married John Randolph (of Prince William County).
One of his other daughters returned toward Chesterfield (Mary who married a Henley;again, this is stated in Encyclopedia of Virginia Biography;Ann married John Randolph and Mary married William Henley of Henrico.)
