I am at a brick for 5 years now.Isa (o)bella married a John Clazey. Her three children to date:George Oswald Clazey, James Oswald Clazey and John Oswald Clazey. These three born: 1817-1821. The latter two were christened in Ford, Northumberland. So far, have not found George and records in Ford have no marriage of John and Isabella. The naming pattern of Oswald for a middle name continued until 1901.All female children also had the middle name of Oswald. The two sons, John Oswald and James Oswald both engaged in the shipowning business....my great grandfather was listed in the 1901 census as a shipyard laborer. His first name was Oswald.Isabella was lliving in the 1861 xwnaua in area of Sunderland known for coal pits and ports.and smugglers. There was a stsreet, Clazey Terrace not far from the River Tyne in the 1897 map.Does any of this ringf any bells?Thank you.
