Here's a little information about Margaret Overshiner who married Robert Logan on 12 February 1854. This information comes from my husband's family in letters written over the years on the Logan line. He is a descendant of this Logan family through Robert and Margaret's son, John Harrison Logan.
Robert and Margaret Logan had two children prior to Robert's death before 1859. Louisa Hattie Logan was born 1854/55 in Indiana (WashingtonCO?) married James H. Windle. John Harrison Logan born 1859 in Illinois married Lucy Asenith Myers. I do not know if Robert died in Illinois or Indiana, but Margaret and the children are found living next door to her parents on the 1860 WashingtonCo, IN census. From the letters of the family, it was stated that Margaret and Robert Logan were not married long before his death. The following census confirms that.
24 July 1860 Monroe Township, P.O. Salem Indiana, WashingtonCo, IN (Dwelling #1410, Family #1410) Margaret Logan 23 IN, Louisa 4 IN, John 1 IL...next door to Margaret's parents
Margaret married James J. Stewart on 12 May 1866. She had married William Weeks 2 March 1862, between the Logan and Stewart marriages. Because of the shortness of time, William perhaps died in the Civil War. I have been unable to find this death, however.
Margaret and James Stewart had two daughters, twins, and are found on the 1870 census in ClayCo, IL where many of the Stewart clan resides. Daughter, Louisa Logan, is still in the household.
28 July 1870 Xenia, ClayCo., IL (Dwelling #95, Family #95) James J. Stewart 37 IN, Margaret 36 IN, Louisa Logan 15 IL, Obanda Stewart 3 IL, Amanda 3 IL
This Stewart family is then found in 1880 living in Washington, DaviessCo, IN. Finally, by 1900, Margaret Overshiner Logan Weeks Stewart is found living with her son, John Harrison Logan in MaconCo, IL. When the John Harrison Logan family leaves the area, Margaret joins the Amanda Stewart Brockway family. This is one of the twins by James J. Stewart. This is where Margaret finally dies in 1917.

Because this research has taken me all over the place, I was fortunate to have the family letters alluding to the marriages and the children born to the first and third. All of the marriages took place in WashingtonCo, IN.
By the way, I do have a picture of Margaret Overshiner if you are interested. It was taken when she was older and was found nicely labeled in my husband's grandmother's photo album. She was a beautiful woman!
Sincerely, Susan Neuman
