My Name Is Stephan Pabst. I can be found on www.facebook.com under the name Stephan M. Pabst. This letter is a blanket letter with the intent of making contact with as many Pabst’s as I can possibly reach. I am researching the Pabst family history and genealogy. I realize that there are many Pabst families out there and you may or may not be connected to my particular brand of Pabst. I come from a gigantic Pabst family and I am discovering that they are spread out all over the world, and over many years they have lost contact. I was sitting here thinking the other day and it occurred to me that the internet might be a great way to find more Pabsts that might be connected to my specific family (no matter how distant). If you are connected in any way to any of these following people please contact me.
My Great Grandfather Henrich Pabst originated in Austria (Eggilsberg) and migrated to the United States somewhere between 1892 – 1898. His Wife, My Great Grandmother was named Maria and she and three children; Gustav, Henrich, and Philip arrived in the United States on December 21st 1899 aboard a ship called the Westernland. The ship was owned by Red Star Lines and made regular trips from Antwerp, Belgium to New York. The following list is the Particular Pabst Family I am Searching for. (this is a basic list and there are many more, but the ones I left out I have not proven their connection to me as of yet)

I know this list is pretty crude, but if you have any aunts, uncles, brothers or sisters that match any of these send me an Email.
It all started with an argument between my father Robert Norman Pabst, and my Aunt Joyce Carole Zorger (Pabst) over the origins of our Pabst family...Somehow, over the years our particular branch of Pabst was seperated from the rest of the bunch (Right around WWII) My Grandfather, Gustav and Grandmother, Lillian left the New Jersey (Bayonne Area) area because Gustav landed a very high paying contract with the US Navy as a civillian contractor working out of Long Beach (San Pedro) Harbor in California. Gustav and Lillian were very quiet people and never very vocal about other family memebers...they were the "Work a Holic" types.
I was curious one day and started asking questions about our Grandparents and Great Grandparents ...there were sharp inconsistencies in thier stories, yet many similarities as well...so I have set out on a quest to track down the truth....I still have not found our Great grandfather Henry, Heni, Henerick Pabst. It was said that he traveled back and forth between Europe and the US on a regular basis trying to establish a homefront here in the US...Once he got situated he sent for his wife, my Great Grandmother Marie, to move to the US...I have proof of this..My G Grandmother landed in New York harbor on Dec 21th 1899 abord a ship owned by Red Star Lines called Westernland...She traveled alone with her three young children, Henrich 1, Phillip 3, and my Grandfather Gustav 4, and she was carrying a total of 6 dollars in cash (it says it right on the manifest...lol). Her destination on the manifest was Bayonne, New Jersey (Scratched out) and it says she was to rendezvous with her husband "Heni"(The handwriting is very hard to read) ..the ship originated from Antwerp, Belgium and the trip took 17 days....It shows her nationality as being from Eggilsberg or Englesberg, Austria..durring that time the area was known as "The Austro-Hungarian Empire" and that particular area has had many border and name changes since WWI...Since so many people on the ship are listed from ths particular area I'm guessing that this must have been some sort of gathering point for the land trip to Antwerp to board the ship....according to my Aunt Joyce, we came from somewhere in Poland/Prussia and she distinctly remembers seeing documentation showing that my G Grandmother, Marie had made a trip to Poland to visit relatives just before she made the trip to the US...(Still Rumor)....On the manifest her last name is spelled PAPST, but farther down the manifest where it lists her husband, her husband's last name is spelled PABST....Im guessing that as they were loading on to the ship and the steward was writing the information, she must have correct his spelling....
According to my dad, Robert, he claims that my Grandfather had such a heavy GERMAN accent,, when he arrived they simply misunderstood him as PABST instead of BABST.....I am still stumped becasue I have yet to find any evidence of Henry's movement, or arrivals in the US......I have located other lost Pabst branches since I started seaching .....Francis Pabst II, who lives in Lake Arial, Pennsylvainia and all his children who are spread out in Georgia, South Carolina and Florida ....My Grandmother Lillian's Family..Georger, Is all spread out in upstate New York, Vermont and Maine area ...
The Pabst Brewery Family (Just because eveyone and their brother asks all the time if we are related.....*If* we are related at all , it will be somewhere in the range of 3rd or 4th cousins....I do believe that G Grandfather "HENI" (Henry as we call him) had at least one older brother...This is where the connection to the Pabst brewery family might lie.....When it comes to that, the Pabst family of the brewery is an interesting situation because they originate from the New Jersey/New York area as well before they migrated to the wisconsin area. Their roots are based out of Austria as well.....The disconnect that I see are the ages of the Pabst Brewery "Clan" ..there is a 5-7 year difference in ages from all my grandparents...My Aunt Joyce says she remembers visiting the grave of a GREAT uncle ...this could have been the father of some of the Pabst Brewery people "HENI's" older brother....my email address is Spabst@Gmail.com or firstname.lastname@example.org....I have lots of photos and other documents, if you think you are related to me DONT BE SHY ! I am digging up any lead I can find and im sure if you are associated with the name Pabst in any way, shape, or form, it will only be a matter of time until i make contact and interrogate you...lol ..I am leaving no stone unturned and I follow every single lead and rumor that enters my ear....Good Day everyone and Ill see ya around :-)
Just out of curiosity for all the Pabst's reading this: How many times in your life have you been asked the question "Like the Beer?" or "Any Relations?"...lol (Just as i suspected...every time you give someone your last name ..lol :-)
