Hi Dean, I'm sorry I have been out of touch for so long. I have been busy & changed email address.I could mail you a copy of our entire family story (16 pages). There was a Frank Tortora (whose grandmother was Josephine Pacelli) but he died in the 1920's so he probably wasn't the man who visited with the gray hair & cane in the 1930's. This Frank had a barber shop & died in an asylum.Frank's father-in-law had the grocery story.Frank's wife, Dora Sorge, was very holy & died in 1967 a few years after meeting the Pope. The next oldest boy (Frank's brother) was born in 1883 named Joe Tortora. He had 2 sons both in the mafia. He & his wife Helen were both murdered. There was also a Joe (but I don't think it was the same man, perhaps his Uncle Joe Monfredonia) who walked with a cane with a push button stilletto at the end. This little info. can make you understand why if these are relatives of yours, your family wanted nothing to do with them!My grandfather, by the way, would have nothing to do with any of this & got zero inheritance - he was a school teacher.
