My maiden name is Packard. My father (David Curtis Packard, but not of Hewlett Packard), grandmother (Eloise Wilson Packard) and grandfather (James Clifford Packard) are deceased and had accumulated many items regarding the family.I have finally unpacked and looked through them and have concluded I shouldn't keep them. They are a part of history and deserve better treatment than my storage building. The items include scrap books with photographs, notes, letters and newspaper clippings dating back to the late 1800's. There is a ledger book with entries from 1891 and 1892.I have a framed photograph of my grandfather when he was an infant and in the arms of my great grandmother (Dora Lee Parker Packard). My great grandfather was Leonard C Packard. Our family burial plot is in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The information shows I'm descended from Samuel Packard who came to America on the ship "Diligence of Ipswich" and landed at Plymouth on August 10, 1638.
I need assistance in getting these historical items into the right hands. Anyone who can offer any information or assistance can email me email@example.com.
