Re: Any relations to Denmark?

I'll definitely look into it as I am aware of at least one relative in my "branch" of the family name who is and who lives in Germany (Christel Pade). She might know of other Pades there.
In essence I believe that even the Danish Pades are descendants from German ones as the name was registered as a name for the first time in the 13th century meaning "Pater", ie. "father", in Germany.
My own oldest source of genealogy - a private teacher who wrote his biography in the 1780's - only indicates the family comes from the most southern part of Denmark, very close to Germany.
Thank you for message - I hope I shall be able to return to you!
