Evelyn Four brothers sons of William and Margaret (Maxwell) Pagan of Glasgow, Scotland established a very important and lucrative mercantile empire centered in St. Andrews, Charlotte Co., New Brunswick. The brothers: 1. William never married 2. Robert married Mariam Pote but had no issue 3. John--I do not know if he married and had issue, and until your posting did not know that he settled in Que. 4. Thomas who according to a posting on this site by Peter Gill, married and had at least two issue.
On "Google" type Dictionary of Canadian Biography, Click on P and you will get a good account ot William and Robert with some little reference to John and Thomas.
I am interested in the parentage of Judge George Pagan (obit below)Since it states that he was the nephew of William and Robert, his father must be either John or Thomas. An obituary appeared in a New Brunswick newspaper anouncing the Death of Mrs. M. Babcock 7 Apr 1835,69 yrs., at the home of her son George Pagan.Since this would make her born about 1766, I tend to believe she had been the wife of Thomas who was the youngest son.William was born in 1744, Robert in 1750, John probably about 1752/3 and Thomas 1755 or later.
