OBIT Lucille Hickey Pagel 1920-2006

Lucille A. Pagel, age 85, died on Monday, February 20, 2006, at her home. Lucille was born on May 2, 1920, in Lanark, Wisconsin, to the late Daniel and Rose (Vosburg) Hickey. She married Robert Pagel Sr. on June 28, 1947, in Neenah; he preceded her in death on June 24, 1984.
Lucille attended school in Stevens Point prior to moving to Neenah with her family in 1940. She worked as an Executive Secretary at Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Wisconsin Paper Industry Service in Neenah, and Kools Brothers, Inc., Menasha. Lucille enjoyed the time she spent with the Neenah-Menasha Elk's Ladies, golf, bridge, traveling, antiquing with social groups while making longtime friends, and volunteering.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia E. Pagel, Milford, Massachusetts, and Tamara M. Pagel, Chicago, Illinois; her son, Robert G. (Joan) Pagel, Appleton; her brother, William J. Hickey, Oshkosh; her sister, Anita Nebel, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin; her three grandchildren: John Pesaturo, Paula (Robert) Brawn, and Anthony R. Pagel; and her three great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2006, at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 West Pine Street, Appleton, with Fr. Dennis Ryan officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 4 to 7 p.m. and again directly at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. to the time of services.
She will be interred in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah, with her husband. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial gifts be directed in her name to the Fox Valley Literary Coalition or St. Bernard Catholic Church.
