There were two individuals (both deceased) that collaborated over the years on the Parmentier, Palmatier, Palmateer etc. family.Prentice Glazier compiled a type script that starts with Pierre Parmentier and works forward to the 1800s.I got a copy from a cousin and have over time managed to transcribe it to the Family Tree Maker format. The copy I have is very difficult to read.Several libraries are supposed to have a copy of Prentice's work. The LDS library in Salt Lake has a copy and the film number is 1014122.
I have since received more information from a Palmateer source and I believe the author of this material to be Prentice Glazier.
I don't have any information prior to Pierre other than the name Thonnet Terrin, Antoinett's father. If you search the net for Parmentiers in France and Belgium...you will find dozens.
Go to http.www.rootsweb.com/~ote/nyship4.htm#list2. Look for the ship "spotted cow" (DE BONTE KOE) that sailed from Amsterdam to New Amsterdam in 1663.You will find Pierre and his wife and child listed there.
My line is Pierre, Michael, Michael, Damen, Michael, Nicholas, George Myron, George Henry (Doc), Elsie, and myself.
