I am just starting to really buckle down and search for my family history. I have relatives (living or recently deceased) in Bryan, TX - Canton,(Van Zandt Co.)TX - Elijah,(Gilmer Co.) GA. My grandfather, grandmother, and father (Pamplin side) are all deceased and are buried at Canaan cemetary in Canton, TX across from Stone Point Community Historic Site. My family was deeply intertwined with the Nash's. I have been told that my American family tree started with the McDonald's from the Slate region of Scotland around 1764-1794(exact date unknown to me.) I used to have access to a rough family tree but it was lost when my father died. I do have a picture of the Pamplin family on the farm(TX) dating from the early 1900's. On the back it states, in my grandmother's handwriting, A.C. Pamplin's family. Anyone with any information on any Pamplin's please contact me. My wife's e-mail is email@example.com and I can most easily be reached there. Here is a list of Pamplin's?Nash's in my family that I know of: Wesley Brough Pamplin- my great or great-great grandfather who I am named after. Reuben Brough Pamplin- my grandfather, born 1909-11?? in Stone Point Comm., TX? wife's name Ruby, maiden name Nash I think. Patrick Brough Pamplin- my father Wesley Brough Pamplin and family- myself, born Ft. Lauderdale, FL 1972 Del(mus?) Pamplin and wife- Reuben's older brother, living in GA Thomas Pamplin and wife Julie- Reuben's younger brother, living in GA Thomas Pamplin Jr. and family- Thomas's son, living in GA numerous other living Pamplin's that all fall under the three brothers. Thomas and Stella Nash- my grandmother's parents, also buried at Canaan cemetary outside of Canton, TX. There are other Pamplin's and Nash's buried there. My grandmother had at least one other sister, but that is the Nash family line.
