Lou, If you don't mind, I have a suggestion. My information on Elias Pannell, son of Richard Walter and Elizabeth Grubbs is that Dollie Mae was the daughter of Elias and that she married Evlyn Sims. According to the Pontotoc Co. Cemetery Book, they are buried in Pontotoc Co. MS at Hopewell Cemetery.
I was told a few years back by an elderly relative-and have recently confirmed with that individual that I heard correctly-that, Dollie Elizabeth Pannell who married Anderson Wilmoth was daughter of James S. Pannell and Mary Ann "Frankie" Pannell.
Mary Ann's father was William Jackson Pannell who was the oldest son of Richard Walter and Elizabeth Grubbs Pannell. Her mother Kesiah Emiline McCraw.
James S. Pannell was the son of a different William J. Pannell whose parents I have not been able to find. The mother of James S. was Catherine Wages.William J. died around 1860 and Catherine remarried Edward Morgan. They moved to either lower Pontotoc Co or Chickasaw Co. and the boys, James S. and his brother William Henry, grew up there. In the early 1900's they moved back to Union Co.
You may know already that Anderson Wilmoth was the son of John Mack Wilmoth and Martha Ann Frances Leach.
I did not know your mother, but remember her sister, Nadine, from 1st or 2nd grade at the old Blue Springs Grammar School in Union Co. sometime in the 1930's.
