Lillian, I am not sure if we are talking about the same Marie Louise Paquin b. 1880 who was my husband's gr-grandmother. Although, I would really like to find someone else related to her family. I do not know anything about where Joseph Philorome Landry was born, except that it was in Canada. He was a professor, had a Bachelor's degree in Language Arts.He was a private lecturor. The info about her parents being Joseph Paquin and Ellen Bergeron, and her birth place of New Orleans was taken from her own Social Security application info she filled out in the 1940's in Vancouver, WA.Unless I was mistaken and there is a "New Orleans" in Canada?I will look at it again, and see if it actually says Louisiana. This could be the case, as my one family member was sure that it was in Canada.I am not that familiar with Ottowa or that area. Some of the Deschners lived in Saskatchawan.
Her daughter, Marie Antoinette Landry was born in Ottowa, Canada as was at least one of her brothers, she was married to John Deschner and Frank Kadow. The 3 brothers were all named Joseph: Joseph Albertimile Landry, Joseph Alphonse? Landry(1902WN-1949CA) and Joseph "Don" Landry b. 1909Canada-1972CAL.They lived in Iron River, WN where 2 of the boys were born, I believe.Marie Louise Paquin Landry died in 1960, when she was living in Fortuna, Humbolt Co. CAL near where her son lived. She and Joseph Landry were divorced or separated for quite some time before that.
