Hello Shane: My records show John Isaac Paquin married only once to Rose Suzanne Martel on July 1, 1899 at St Ignace MI. He is the son of Antoine Paquin and Suzanne Lavake. I show John Isaac born November 20, 1872 St Ignace and died Feb 3, 1952 St Ignace. Rose Martel shows her born April 24, 1880 St Ignace and died May 9, 1964 Sault Ste Marie MI. How about this for a $64,000 explanation: Many records in Canada are confusing when it comes to where you get them. Tanguay records were kept by Nuns and their birth records are in French and they show births, baptisms, deaths and burials thusly. Births are written with a small "n", for naissance. Baptisms are writtenwith a small "b" for bapteme. Deaths are written with a small "m" for mort, and burials are written with a small "s", for sepulture. Marriages are written with a large "M". Now the problem comes when a researcher saves these records and a company like Family Tree Maker writes a program which did not have any spaces to differentiate. They only showed birth, death and marriage. They now have upgraded their Family Tree Program to separate the death and burial, and some day will do the same for births and baptisms but in the meantime what happens to the saved records. They are all mixed up .
