Jacob Rioux that married Josephine Paradis(e). My mothte says there was an e on the end....but I am exploring all options. They are my great, great grandparents. Here is some info on some other Rioux/Vadeboncoeur that I did not find in the postings. Any info you have would be most helpful.
Agleae (spells it both ways: Aglaee and Agleae) Vadeboncoeur (b 1 APR 1856, d 19 JUL 1922) in St. Charles, Quebec, daugther of Jules Vadeboncoeur and Julienne Moquin of Quebec. We connect into the "Moquin's of North America" still to be documented.Looks like we also connect into the work of Roger Verboncoeur on his Vadeboncoeur/Verboncoeur site as well.
Alphonse Aloysius Rioux was born in 1859 in New York State (no city noted that I can find) and died in Cohoes in 1948. He was the son of Jacob Rioux (b 29 AUG 1835, d 7 APR 1921) and Josephine Paradise (b 10 SEP 1826m d 1914).
Aglaee married Alfonse in either Trois Rivieres (Three Rivers), Quebec or Newberry Port, Maine in 1880.
They had 10 babies: (All Rioux) 1881: Marie Louise (died infant) 1883: Dellima Melina Virginia Marie (Emma) 1885 Alphonse A. Jr. 1887: Joseph George (married Ella, no babies) 1889: Henri (died infant) 1890: Rose Ann Marie (McEnroe) (Our Grandmother) 1892: Joseph Jeanne (died infant) 1894: Guillaume (died infant) 1895: Francois (died infant) 1898: Jacques (Uncle John)
Aglaee bore 14 children and only 5 lived. She died of diabetic coma and lived at 19 Church Street, Cohoes, NY.
