COHOES — Theresa J. Parent Elliott, 79, of Miller Avenue, Cohoes, died Friday, June 12, 2009, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Troy, embraced by her loving family.
Born in and a lifelong resident of Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Alma Lussier Parent and beloved wife of Fred C. Elliott of Cohoes.
Theresa received her education in the former St. Patrick’s School and in her earlier days was employed as a sewing machine operator with Troy Town Shirt Co. The majority of her life was dedicated to her family and home.
She gained all she needed in life by simply being in their company, they were her passion and she cherished them. Theresa had a very generous, outgoing friendly spirit. She will be missed by the many that knew her and loved her.
In addition to her husband, Fred, she is survived by her loving children, Jeannette (Oreste A. “Rusty”) Elliott-Camerota of Cohoes and David F. (Michele) Elliott of E. Nassau; adored grandchildren Matthew E. (Daphney) Krutka, Lisa (Joseph) Krutka-Gorman, Kiki E. Camerota, David A. (Sarientha) Elliott, Timothy J. Elliott and William F. (Jackie) Elliott; seven treasured great grandchildren; siblings, Beatrice Charbonneau of Cohoes, Theodore “Ted” (Jane) Parent of Saratoga Springs, Leo Paul “Paul” (Ruth) Parent of Crescent, Frank (Marcia) Parent of Tomhannock and Wilford “Bob” Parent of Cohoes, sister-in-law Sandy Parent of Cohoes and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary LaGue, and brothers, Clement P. and Lionel A. Parent.
A funeral service will be held in the Fitzgerald Funeral Home Ltd., 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes, Tuesday morning at 9 with Rev. Nick Tebordo officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Monday from 5-8 p.m.. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.
