I recently found Christian/Christine/Christiana BAILEY [b ~11 Oct 1786, d 18 Mar 1865] buried in the Ridgeberry Cemetery, Ridgebury, Town of Wawayanda, Orange County, New York, USA. She's next to her husband, Nathan PARET [b ~ 1787, d 29 Dec 1829].
Christiana's sister & Nathan's brother are also buried at Ridgeberry Cemetery: Phebe/Phoebe BAILEY [b ~4 Oct 1792, d 2 Aug 1852] married to Samuel PARET (headstone as PARROTT) [b ~1794, d 10 Jan 1835].
(I have a Letter of Administration verifying that Christiana is Nathan's wife and that Samuel is his brother. They were appointed as co-executors of Nathan's estate.)
According to a 19th C history of Orange County, Christiana's father was Jonathon BAILEY, a citizen of Southold on Long Island, a captain who fought at the Battle of Long Island, and removed to Orange County after the war.
1. One of the two above BAILEY-PARET couples is likely my G4 or G5GPs. Who are their children? I have bits and pieces about various PARETs in the Ridgebury area, but so far don't know how they fit together:
Alpheus, Ann, Charlotte, Emeline, John - a baker, another John - RR conductor, Horace, Mary, Sylvestor, William
2. Is the information about the father of these 2 Bailey women correct? The book gives no citations or even mentions a source for info.
