I am wondering if I could make a connection to my Parham line.My father-in-law was named Wiley J(ennings) Parham, born in 1898.His father was Robert William and his grandfather was Edward Hardaway Manson Parham. Next was Thomas Parham, married to Elizabeth Parham Batte, dau. of Wm and Sarah Parham Batte. Thomas was son of Ephraim and Ann Harper Parham.Thomas and Elizabeth had 13 children but I only know of four of them. This Wiley could not have been their son because he was born too early for that.Edward H. M.(married a Barner from Brunswick Co., VA) only had one son and a daughter.Robert married an English from Pilate Point (or is it Point Pilot, TX).They had Edward (died at 4 yrs.), Mettauer (named for a dr. friend of Dr. E.H.M. Parham), Alpha, James Crawford, Dr. Edward Manson Parham (moved to New Mexico) and Robert Blount who moved to Arizona.(Blount only had one son and he has never married.) Robert married (2) Emily Coleman from Spartanburg, S. C. and they had Wilkins Fitchett. Wiley Jennings, Tabitha Elizabeth, Mary Ellen, Hattie Sue, and Paul Henry.Paul Henry is the only one still living and he is one of the few sons of a Confederate soldier still living. These children were all born in AR as far as I know. Some of these names are Coleman and Barner names but some of them may come from the Parham line.I can give you the names of Dr. Thomas Parham's (Dr. E. H. M.'s brother) children and most of them moved to Tx sometime after the Civil War if you would like to have them.I have a copy of Ephraim's and Thomas' will plus I have read Dr. Thomas' will.It is recorded here in our court house.I believe I have also read Robert's will but don't have a copy of it either. It is also here in our court house. If you will let me know what copies you would like to have, I'll see what I can do.
Dr. Thomas and Dr. Edward H.M. are believed to be the only two children of Thomas and Elizabeth to have moved west of the Mississippi River.I don't know what happened to the others except Dr. William died in VA and left an infant son, Prof. William Cunningham Parham.A sister Mary married Benj. Taylor in Brunswick Co., VA. Clora
