I am looking for any information on William J. Park (b: c4/1826 IRE, d: unk) who married Elisa/Eliza unknown (b: c3/1828 NY) about 1850. William arrived to America via NY in 1841. Their children may have included: Andrew M. (b: c1850 NY), Robert (b: c1852), Samuel (b: c1854), Jane (b: c1858), Lettitia? (b: c1856), Hugh (b: c1859), Armina or Anna (b: c1763), Thomas A. (b: c1868).
William's parents may have been John Park (b: c1804 IRE, d: unk)and Elizabeth unknown (b: c1802 IRE). Their children may have also included: Leticia (b: c1832 IRE), Eliza (b: c1835 IRE), Nancy (b: c1837 IRE), Mary J. (b: c1837 IRE), and Margaret (b: c1841 IRE). There was also a Robert (b: c1851 NY) on them on the 1870 Mercer Cnty PA census.
I have located the census pages for Williamand John (and their families) for 1860 and 1870 in Springfield Township, Mercer Cnty PA.I have located the 1880 census page for Andrew M. Park (and his family) in Worth Township, Mercer Cnty PA.
In 1900, William J./Eliza Park and Andrew M./Mary Park were living in neighboring farms in the Matoaca District of Chesterfield Cnty VA. I am the great, great granddaugher of William's son Thomas A. Park (who was married in 1889 in Chesterfield Cnty VA). I do not know what became of William and Eliza's other children.
I would like to learn more about all of the extensive Park family (William/Eliza had 12 children) and their life in Ireland, upon arriving in American, and in PA. I am curious as to what drew them south to Virginia.
I will gladly share what information I have for them in Virginia.
As far as I known, the name was Park, however I have seen it as Parks and Parkes on the census'.
