Doctor & Preacher John Parkhillmarried Sara Clapp in the Huntsville AL area in 1820. They moved to Calloway County in Western KY with the Clapp Family. They had 6 children -John Ferdinand,Julia Ann,Travis H, Emily Jane, and Alfred Milton (1838). John died in 1842 and Sara remarried John's friend, Dr. Caleb Jones. They had more children. A M married Mollie Hudspeth from Maury Co TN on 10/31/1861. They later moved to Savannah TN. Savannah, Tennessee was on the river between Calloway County and Huntsville AL. A M and Mollie had 4 children Thomas H (He had one son that I know of T H Jr), Willie B, Ella E. and my grandmother SMC "Mattie". Ella E had TB and died at an early age. She was married to a minister named F D Srygley. She had 2 daughters. One of the descendants was Jeffie. She and her children lived in Calloway Co, then Nashville. What was not known until now is that Julia Ann,Travis H, and Emily Jane were listed on the Intestate Will as being heirs of David Parkhill.This is in the Alabama Records, Volume 65, which was compiled by K.P.Jonea snd P.J. Gandrud.On November 25, 1845, Allen H. Parkhill, (this was John's younger brother,became administrator of David Parkhill) petitioned to sell the land: Emily Jane, Julia Ann and Travis Parkhill are listed as heirs and live beyond the state; Montgomery Gilbreath was appointed guardian ad litem of Travis, Martha Ann, Eliza Jane and Emily Elizabeth Callison and Martha Jane, James and Joohn, were listed as heirs of David Parkhill, deceased.
