I just re-checked my information and Thomas Wagar's first wife was Deborah Embury (married ~1765) who died ~1790. According to what I have, he had 3 girls with his first wife: Elizabeth (1789), Abbie (~1790) and Mary (b. 1788) -- no sons indicated. My information indicates that Deborah died ~1790 and Thomas married Mary Parliament ~1790. A William was born to Thomas Wagar and Mary "Polly" Parliament in 1796. If Thomas and Deborah had a son Jan 26 1789 then Elizabeth was 9 - 11 months younger. Since they named another son William, I assume the first one died young. The period between his marriage to Deborah and the birth of the first child is bizarre: 23 years? If UE means United Empire Loyalist and he was away fighting, it still doesn't explain that gap since he had a child every year or two from 1788 to 1816.
