Another post on this site gave the maiden name of Thomas Parlow's wife as "Elizabeth Gibb."I had seen this somewhere else years ago, but it is erroneous. She was actually the daughter of William and Susanna Liscomb.I have some astute Liscomb researchers to thank for this information.
Do you have any ideas as to Thomas Parlow's origins?
There are three Thomas Parlow christenings on the IGI, circa 1650, that would seem to fit as possible candidates for the individual who showed up in Beverly.
Then, too, I have not totally ruled out the chance that "Parlow" was, for him, simply an evolution of "Barlow."I have other ancestors whose names changed from an initial "B" to a "P," or vice versa.
If the name "Bowen" was originally "Ap Owen" in Welsh, might now "Parlow" find its roots in "Ap Harlow?"
I am descended from Thomas' daughter Martha who married John Severy.
