Bill - hello.Thank you for the kind words. The Parr line is not directly related to me, but by marriage.I am directly related to the Richard Wright, Sr. family of Rowan County, NC through his son, Richard, Jr. and his second wife, Cary Kittrell. Their daughter, Mary Ann married (1) a Mr. Geddis. She had no children and was widowed, when she married (2) Thomas Varker of Cornwall, England, Captain of the Silver Hill mines in Davidson County, NC.
I believe Richard and Arthur were friends in Maryland.I'm just having a bit of a time relating Richard to a family line there.Strong circumstantial evidence indicator is that he may have been a son of Philbert Right and Esther Becraft. Because no primary evidence has been found (such as baptismal records as 4 other children had), it's difficult to prove.
Are you related to this Arthur Parr line?If so, do you know anything about Margaret Parr being a Wright?
Several days ago I received information that contained a hand-written note that I can hardly read, but can make out that "John Parr emigrated from England to America in 1700.Settled in Southern part of Maryland. Had two sons John & Arthur."
Then, there is a part about John that I cannot make out - writing not clear - but the other part about Arthur states "Arthur married a woman by name of Wright and lived in N Car, had 6 children."Children were not named in this little note.
It would make sense that they may have been related in some way.Seems the two families are eternally joined at the hip.
