Parsons in 1850 Delaware

Thomson's Mercantile and Professional Directory covers the 3 counties of Delaware for 1851-1852.I spotted 3 names that raised my own eyebrows:

--Parsons, Elijah R. of Laurel, in Sussex County. (merchant of either dry goods or groceries)
--Crawford, Alexander, Middletown. (Physician)
--Crawford, John W., Glasgow. (Physician)

Crawford was also recorded as Craford at times (don’t blame me!).It is the maiden name of Caesar Rodney’s mother.I’d like to hear from anyone who spots this surname, or Parson/ Parsons/ Pierson/ Pearson/ Passon, in S. Jersey, DE, MD or SE Pa.
