Has anyone spent a lot of time researching Rev. Thomas Partrich of Kent. I have limited info on him, though my research on his son Rev. Ralph Partrich/Partridge is a bit more extensive.
I have unverified info that he was the son of Thomas Partrich and Elizabeth Sibbell (who were the parents of William Partrich of the House of Commons).
He was apparently born around 1555 in Sutton or Sutton Valence, Kent, England. Graduated from Oxford 29 Jan 1570/1 according to Foster's "Alumni Oxonienses" (1891) and was an Anglican vicar in Sutton Valence, Lenham, and Wichling (Kent) until his death in 1605.
I have not seen the parish records for his children, but it is commonly quoted that Ralph was christened on 12 April 1579 in Sutton Valence, Kent as the son of Rev. Thomas Partrich. From wills and documents, it can be stated that Ralph's siblings were Gervase, Randolph, Elizabeth, and James, but I have not seen christening records for them either. I suppose Ralph is the dot connecting them to Thomas.
I've also heard two names connected to Thomas, but can find nothing to verify either. I have heard frequently that his wife was Patience. Somewhere I also have that he was married to a certain Joanne. Patience was also the name of Ralph's wife, so that sounds suspicious to me.
