While not a direct descendant of this line, I'm interested in descendants of the family.It was quite interesting to see JANE PATTEN, mother-in-law listed in the house and occupation, was "OLD LADY",I can't help but think the Irish women's sense of humor might of sparked the census taker to write such a thing down....Anyways,hope it helps someone, or if you're a descendant would love to correspond.

Fred & Ann listed as having 4 children/4 living. Son William is a conductor RR, quite amusing Jane Patten is listed as "old lady". Family arrived from Ireland in 1844.
