LITTLE FALLS - Harry E. Pauth, 66, a native of Little Falls, died Tuesday in his room at the Globe Hotel, E. Main St., Norwich.
Born March 30, 1899, a son of Miner and Catherine Arnold Pauth, he married Effie Light on May 30, 1923 in Sherburne.She died in 1949.He had been a cutter for Norwich Mills Inc. since 1933, retiring in 1964.He resided in Norwich for 2 years, where he was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Norwich Mills 25 - Year Club, Christy Rock Post, VFW, and Barrett Barracks, Veterans of World War I.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Theodore A. Darveau, of Mohawk; Mrs. Walter Horn, of Ilion; and Mrs. George Robbins of Perry.
Services will be 2 p.m., tomorrow from the Robert J.Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St., Norwich, with burial later in Sherburne Cemetery.

NOTE:Their is a descrepancy regarding Harry Pauth's date of birth.Notice the obituary mentioned he was born March 30, 1899.However the funeral home records, his death certificate and the SSDI has his date of birth March 31, 1899.
Special thanks to the funeral home in 2002, the caretaker of the Sherburne West Hill Cemetery, and the VA for all their assistance to locateuncle Harry Pauth's final resting place and his military service.Especially their generous time consuming efforts to assist in obtaining the VA benefit for his tombstone that was finally set in 2003 for his unmarked grave in the LIGHT plot of the Sherburne West Hill Cemetery, NY. After much consideration his tombstone is transcribed with his date of birth being March 31, 1899.If anyone has additional information to document his date of birth please advise.
