Thank you Jennifer for your reponse. The birth of J.B. born 1832 is actually recorded as Paillé.The sibling Delphis (Dolphis) (b 5 years later) is recorded as Payer.Future records for Delphis vary between Payer/Paille.All births for the children of J.B. (b.1832)are recorded as Payé but indexed as Payer, contrary to the actual record. The first child however b.1856 is Payette.J.B.'s mother is sometimes Julie Suro(Sureault), Julie St. Louis or Marie Filiatrault.Believe other siblings of J.B. are Alexandré, Joseph, Baptiste and Julie Ann some of whom I have found under Payea.Have no idea where Louis and Louise Desroches originated or where J.B.(1832) was between Montebello, Quebec and Clarence Creek, Ontario but have all the information after 1856. Will investigate the areas you mentioned in your response when I get to the library again. Could you tell me what the original name was of your ancesters in 1613?
