Long Illness Fatal to Houston County Native; Funeral Be Held Tomorrow
Mrs. A. J. Carroll; 58, died at her home 217 Kornegay St., at 11 am today following an illness of more than a year.She was a native of Houston County.
Mrs. Carroll is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mrs. W. D. Hutto, Misses Blanche and Mary Carroll, both of Dothan; two sons, J. M. Carroll, of Columbus, Ga., and Dorman Carroll, of Dothan; four sisters, Mrs. J. P. Peacock, Dothan route four, Mrs. I. M. Brackin, Dothan route four, Miss Eldora Kinsey and Miss Annie Bell Kinsey, of Dothan; and a brother, R. H. Kinsey, of Dothan.
Funeral will be held at the Lafayett Street Methodist church at 3 pm Wednesday with the Rev. W. R. Bickerstaff, of the Foster Street Methodist Church, officiating, assisted by the Rev. O. M. Murphy.Burial will be in the city cemetery with members of the Woodman Circle acting as honorary pallbearers.Dowling-Rhodes has charge of arrangements. __
