The Peacock Family Association of the South has Penina Peacock as a daughter of Peter and Rachel Peacock by "circumstantial" evidence only (because no will or estate records were found for Peter Peacock.) The historian for the PFAS, John Pierce, did extensive research in the 1980's and his conclusion was that Penina was most probably a dau of Peter and Rachel. She and Alfred Trogden were according to Mr Pierce, the parents of William, Cenith who married Charles Smith, **Ephraim, Mary (possibly also known as Adeline), Peter, George, Louisa who married James Russell, Rachel who married John Hackney, Annette who married Clayborn Moore, and Cornelia who married ------Henshaw. Mr. Peirce also believes that Penina was one of 11 children of Peter and Rachel which did include a son (brother to Penina) named *Ephraim who married Ruth Walls. Other children of Peter and Rachel are believed to have been as follows: Mary Ann Peacock m Eli Byerly. Nancy Peacock m William Small George W M Peacock m Mary Dolberry Margaret J Peacock m Lewis Phillips Henry Lyndon Peacock m Martha E Floyd Elizabeth Peacock m Silas Wright Amanda M Peacock m Asa Calicutt Alexander C Peacock Virgil S H Peacock m Julia Adaline Russell Rachel Peacock Hope this helps.
