I don't know if this helps but my aunt Verva Peacock Martin left me a watercolor done by a Minnie Seamans Peck.Since my aunt often attended estate sales and bought a good number of books and art, I always assumed that she bought this painting but perhaps it was a family piece.
Our family descended from Robert Peacock, born abt 1730 in Ireland and came to South Carolina in 1767.He was also married to a Mary who died on the crossing. He had children named Henry, Susannah and Mary.
At one time I found some information about Minnie Seamans Peck but I can no longer find the link on the internet. From what I remember she was a painter located in Pulaski, New York and was born in the late 1800's.
I did find a childrens book located in Germany (?) that was entitled "Jack Frost and the Shivers and a Birds Eye View" which was written and illustrated by Minnie Seamans Peck. For some reason that isn't clear to me, I just purchased this book. It was written in 1910.
The back of my painting has a note that states "Lake Ontario, Both my parents lived near here - Lori(or Lois)"
