Can anyone verify who phebe pearsall's parents were? I think they were as appears in the bio below, but have not beenable to find conclusive evidence to link the pearsalls of Hempstead, Long Island with the Fitzrandolphs of Woodbridge, NJ.many thanks if there is someone who has gone down this road before.
PHEBE PEARSALL (FITZ RANDOLPH) (1749) Lineage: Phebe Pearsall. The early history of Woodbridge is very closely interwoven with that of Piscataway [48:11], where Samuel Pearsall (1697) and Martha (Pearsall) (1722) had settled several years before, after leaving Hempstead, Long Island [11:1349].
7 Mar 1768: Married Robert Fitz Randolph (1737) in Woodbridge, New Jersey [1:36].
1777: Moved with her husband from Woodbridge to Staten Island due to threats from revolutionaries in New Jersey [10:71].
8 Jan 1781: Mother of Joseph Fitz Randolph, born on Staten Island, New York [1:36]. 1783: Emigrated with British Loyalists to Nova Scotia [12:169]. Settled first in Digby County, then at Belle Farm near Bridgetown in Annapolis County [12:510].
after 1783: The FitzRandolphs became part of the Bridgetown Quaker community, whose members were called "broad brims" after the beaver hats that they wore.
15 Dec 1830: Was widowed when her husband died in Nova Scotia [12:510].
15 Dec 1832: Died at Belle Farm, Wilmot Township, Nova Scotia [1:36].
3 Jan 1833: Her obituary appeared in a local newspaper, the Nova Scotian [135:2183].
