Hi David

I'm trying to find descendants of George Pearse (1816 - after 1866) who as a widower married Jane Bonnycastle (1837 - after 1866) on Mar 13, 1866 at St Lukes in Middlesex. They may have lived in Finsbury, Middlesex.

George was the son of Peter Pearse, who was deceased in 1866, possibly from Cornwall originally. George was a stock broker (member of the London Exchange), General Secretary of the Chinese Evangelization Society, and associated with the Clerkenwell Explosion Relief Fund

There is a faint possibility he and Jane went to China as members of the China Inland Mission in 1867-68

He doesn't seem to quite fit with the family you list, but perhaps there's a chance

John
