I am confused about the direct line to George
Nathaniel & Lucy
Asa & Sally aka Sarah
Nathaniel & Martha
George
Where did you find:
Asa and Sally settled in Parsonsfield, and had nine children, none of which settled in Parsonsfield. He came from Newmarket, and settled on Lombard's Hill before the incorporation of the town, and, was the high buck of early times. A ready wit, a born poet and comic actor, he was the life of public gatherings. He gave names to many buildings, among others, Rolfe's meeting house. There, he would walk up a rafter to the ridge pole, stand on his head, drink a glass of grog, announce the name in poetry, and then on his way down turn a somersault. At a log rolling, Pease bet that he would crawl through a hollow log one minute quicker than any one present. He went through, but when his opponent was only half way through, Pease gave the log a push that sent it rolling down a steep hill.
Thank you!
