I am actually lucky enough to have a few members of the direct line of Pecha's who are still alive today, and who have helped me obtain much information about this family line, my direct family line. However, there are still questions that need to be answered and mysteries that we hope to someday solve. If you are at all related to this family line, or have any information, please contact me. I check my email frequently.
My great-grandparents were Joe (Josef) and Josephine (Polrich, Poljaich) Pecha. They immigrated from Czechoslovakia to the U.S. via the vessel Williman, that docked in S. Carolina.I know they moved and lived in Missouri for a while, as my grandmother was born in Kansas City, Missouri.Sometime latter, they moved to Rosenburg, Texasand later, Iowa Coloney. My grandmother said that for the most part, she grew up in Rosenburg, Texas.
Joe and Josephine Pecha's children were: Mike Pecha Antone Pecha Annie Pecha Mary Jane Pecha (my grandmother who married Frank L. Tilich and moved to Houston, Texas) and Francis Pecha
Other vital information about this family, is that when Joe and Josephine and their first son came to America, they also traveled with Joe's brother Antone Pecha, who changed his last name to Baker. This brother Antone Baker, moved to Chicago, and raised his family there.I do not know much about the Baker's ... and would welcome any information.
