No relation. I just enjoy browsing through family Bibles up for auction on eBay and trying to connect any genealogical info to those that might find it of interest or worth pursuing. I am not the seller, nor do I intend to purchase. Unfortunately, links to eBay items only stay active for a couple months. Here is what I found:
This is the old Peckham Family Bible containing numerous handwritten records dating back to the marriage of Thomas H. Peckham and Patience Maine who were married in 1785 in Stonington, CT. Most dates are in the early 19th century. Other surnames listed are Randalls, Pitcher, Titchner, Wheeler, March. In the Front of the old Bible is inscribed, "This Bible belongs to Mr. Jonas Main—(at his) death it fell to his daughter Patience Peckham." The date at the very front of the Bible reads 1801. Included are several letters from the late 19th and early 20th century relative to genealogical inquires listing persons, dates and places of residence. One letter refers to the old Bible and requests of the then holder of the work for information. Aside from the Peckham family of Stonington, there is also attached to the 1st page of the Apocrypa a genealogical list relative to Jonas Maine and Patience Peckham who married 1756. Children and birthdates are listed. There is also an early 20th century photo of "Frank Welles, brother of William Peckham Wells and brother of Minnie and Dora".
