Nancy:I happened to be working on some Pedens in that area, and found the Census reports online for 1850, 1860, 1870 for Benjamin Franklin Clark and Clarinda Peden.
Benjamin was born in Kentucky according to his census data.He was born in 1803, and there is a family tree online on Ancestry.com which is relatively accurate.

(M) born abt 1844 in Clay or Chickasaw Co., Miss and died in Tupelo, Miss; Sarah Sallie (F) born 1846 in Chickasaw Co., Miss. and died in Breckenridge, Texas; Susan Arabelle (F) born 20 Jan 1851 in Chickasaw Co, Miss. and died 9/7/1929 in Greenville, Miss.She married John W. Walker, born 2 Dec 1849 in Huntsville, Ala. and they had 3 children.; John Henry Clark (M) born Jan 1853 in Chickasaw Co., Miss. and died 5/22/1922 in Montpelier, Clay Co., Miss.; and Benjamin Franklin (M) born 5/18/1855 in Chickasaw Co., Miss. and died 4/1/1934 in Montpelier, Clay, Miss.Clarinda also used the name Rinda.
