Hi Victoria, This is basically what I have from Minnesota. First of all, my greatgrandfather Carl was born Sept. 10, 1880 in Trondhjem, Norway. He came with his parent's Knute and wife (for which I don't have a name yet), and came to Fillmore County, Minnesota in 1881 and then moved to Norman County, Minnesota in 1883. Carl married Caroline Carlson on July 16, 1905. Carl and Caroline had nine children: Raymond, Sophie, Agnes, Cora Lewey, Katherine, Blanche, Charley and Norman. Knute, their grandfather, my great-greatgrandfather,is the only name I have. I don't have any info beyond 1830. Most of my information comes from my grandmothers side (Bertha Wenberg). About the only other item that I have, is a picture post-card of the church that my greatgreatgrandfather was baptized in. The church is located in Trondhem. Var Frue Kirke. Norway. The church, I beleive has been standing since the early 1700's or maybe even earlier. I do have 2 decendents named Laura. Laura McArthur and Laura Pederson.
This might not be help to much, but I hope it does. I myself would like to go back to the homeland and see what it's like. Well, let me know what you turn up Victoria.
