Fort Collins Express-Courier Jan. 2, 1944 "MRS. ELLA PEDIGO CALLED BY DEATH"
"With the death of Mrs. Ella Pedigo Thursday at the home of her daughter Mrs. Zelma Rice of San Franciso, CA, Larimer county lost another of it's pioneers. Mrs. Pedigo, 72, the daughter of G. Frank and Elizabeth Pennock, was born Aug. 12, 1871 at Parker in Douglas county (Colorado), then known as Pine Grove. She came with her parents to Larimer county in the spring of 1882 and lived in Bellvue from that time until November 1942 when she went to California. Mrs. Pedigo became a member of the Church of Christ at Bellvue in 1911 and was an active member of the church. She was married to James Pedigo in Pleasant Valley, Nov. 10, 1895. Two of their three children, Mrs. Rice and Ray Pedigo of Kansas City, MO survive their mother. Another son, Wilmer Pedigo, was killed in an automobile accident near Longmont in 1929. A sister, Mrs. Elmer Burgess of 327 West street and three brothers, Elmer Pennock of 215 North Grant, Oliver P. Pennock of 514 S. Howes and William Pennock of 327 West St. also survive. Mrs. and Mrs. Ray Pennock arrived here yesterday from Kansas City." (Buried Grandview Cemetery, Fort Collins, Colorado)
