Charles Elven Peel, born 10-20-1870 in West Hansford, NS and died 10-25-1907 in Oxford, NS.He married, first, in Oxford, Mary J. Tait, daughter of Dixon and Bertha (Gilroy)Tait.She was born 7-12-1870 in Oxford and died there 10-12-1901, according to her gravestone.They had 3 kids.He married, second, elizabeth Dunsmore, daughter of William and Jane Patterson(Reid)Dunsmore.She was born 4-5-1874 in Paisley, Scotland and died 2-9-1958 in Oxford.they had 3 kids.Elven lived in Oxford and was a painter by trade.
The kids of his 1st marraige were:
Ivy Fern, a twin, b: 3-9-1899; married 10-6-1931 in Pictou, NS, Osborne Morgan, son of Louis Kenfig and Catherine(Evans)Morgan.He was born 1-18-1886 in Wales and died 2-9-1936 in Halifax, NS.Osborn, the son of a congregational minister, ws ordained to the Presbyterian ministry in Kansas.He held pastorates in Oxford, Scotsburn, Sherbrooke, and River Hebert, all in NS.He and Fern retired to Oxford, where she still lives, 1970.
Twin brother to Fern, unnamed, died 4-25-1899 in Oxford.
Robb Tait, b: 2-24-1901; married Maude Crandall.
Children of 2nd wife:
Earle Archibald, b: 9-5-1903; married Marguerite MacIntosh Ethel Jeanette, b: 2-11-1906; m:(1)John Buchanan (2) Harold McQueen. Jeanne Wilina, b:11-26-1907; married 5-11-1940 in Oxford, NS, Winston Earle Lockhart, son of Wilton Earl and Maude Archibald(Duncan)Lockhart.He was born 10-27-1912 in Hansford, NS.They lived in Oxford where he farms, and have no family.
