Kay-
It is possible that some of Evans Peery's descendants
moved to Iowa as other Peery's were already there.
Your Evans Peery is the same one that I am interested in.
My great great great grandmother Nancy H. Peery Witten,
was a first cousin to George Peery, Evans Peery's father,
and she is buried in the George Peery cemetery in Grundy
County, Missouri.I believe that Evans and Elizabeth and
Stephen Neill Peery are all buried there as well.
I would have to check my records to be sure about who else
is buried there but I know Nancy H. was, and am pretty sure
that Evans and Elizabeth are there.
My great great grandfather, Carl Milton Peery was also
related to them but since I don't know exactly who his
parents were, I can't be sure just how he was related to
them. I had hoped to find an Evans Peery family bible and
that it might contain something of lead value in my search
for Carl Milton's parents.
Also, Gentry and Grundy Counties, Missouri, which adjoin
each other, are close to the Iowa border and with other
Peery's also already in Iowa, it is logical to assume
that some of Evans' descendants may have moved there.
I have a lot of info on this and other lines of Peerys.
I can be reached at my email address [email protected] and also have a website with much
Peery info on it as well as links out to various sites
on the net with info on them. My website can be found

If you have further questions feel free to contact me
at the above email address or at my Edmond, Okla. home
address. I am in the phone book.
Later- Jim Peery
