I should clarify something from poor use of commas on my part.James Peery married Phebe Pickens in 1802 in Tazewell Co.James was the son of John "Blacksmith" and Nancy Martin.
I have checked out various trees and sites on line, but I'm still not clear on the relationship of John "Blacksmith" to the three brothers, Thomas, William and George who all arrived in Tazewell Co. in 1773 (according to Pendleton's HISTORY...)
Also, Pendleton lists children of John,"Blacksmith" and Nancy Martin as: James, David, Catherine, Jane, Archibald, George and Jonathan.
From Cumberland Co. KY Deed Book D. 1821-22 - David PEARY, Archibald PEARY, George PEERY, Jonathan PEERY & Mathias HARMON of Tazewell Co VA to James & William M PERRY & Peggy PERKINS . (names spelled as shown - Peggy appears later as Pickens). Birditt C PILE, mortgae to John PILE of Adair Co.
William M. and Peggy would seem to be additional children of John Peery, "Blacksmith."

Under TAZEWELL DEEDS MENTIONING PLACES OF RESIDENCE OTHER THAN TAZEWELL: Cumberland Co. KY Peery, James & Phebe (my Pickens); William Perry, also Peggy PICKENS (all heirs of John Peery, blacksmith, of Tazewell.(Peggy Pickenswas evidently Margaret Peery who married a Pickens - possibly Joseph Pickens).
