The Pelkeys didn't leave much of a paper trail, but there is some info available. My great-great grandfather was John Pelkey who was Malcolm Pelkey's brother. Most information was from the 1851 Census of Victoria County, New Brunswick. Parents were Francis Pelkey and Mary Jane Willet. They were from Quebec, but obviously Anglicized. Pelkey was a variation of Pelletier and on some records was spelled Pelchie. They lived in Perth-Andover, NB, or more accurately, Aroostock Junction, NB, which is just over the border with Fort Fairfield, ME.
Francis Cybetine Pelkey was a carpenter. Not sure of other info. A Francis Pelkey died in 1901 in Andover, but I'm not sure if it was father or son.
Mary Jane Willet (originally Ouellette) is buried in the Free Will Baptist Cemetary in Andover. Born Abt 1802, and died 20 Mar 1865, age 63. Francis wife was listed as Tharesa in the 1851 census, but no mention of Tharesa was made after this. Mary Jane was listed as Francis wife.
